There is a variety of structural materials which can be specified and used to create an attractive but functional retaining wall. We can use such things as large sandstone blocks like the above image, types of brick work, drop edge concrete beams and timber sleepers.

Retaining features can also be turned into feature walls combined with water fall features and decorated to fit in to the style of your landscape design. The above image features a 10 metre long feature wall that couples being a garden retaining wall on the adjacent boundary side, it's also used as a privacy screen and a water feature for the fibreglass swimming pool which is structurally support aboveground on the backyard side of the pool area.
